Dead at the Stupor Bowl from an American Sniper

Dog Poet Transmitting.......

“If you love me, love my dog” (ancient Hindu adage)

Okay, cats and kitties, Super Sunday is upon us. That is what they call it. Given what I can intuitively glean and also draw from my relatively large understanding of the game and how it moves (in mysterious way) according to arcane math, as well as what for some, can be predictable destiny, it seems fair clear to me that The Patriots will win (grin). It just 'feels' that way. So now I give you this tidbit in which you will find much humor and possibly someone to root for (grin again).

Yes... before you tell me about it, I am well aware of the sham and pretension. I am well aware that this is a corporate field day; a triumph of Materialism over humanity and the day will be filled with gross and painful examples of it. Why then do you watch this kind of crap, Visible? Well... along the road to self realization and whatever part or portion of enlightenment I might be capable of, other things cross my attention screen. Though we may seek to reside completely in the present, we are, to some degree a reflection of our past and while Visible was growing up and even to the present, he has played these games. He played them from dawn to dusk on military recreation fields and after that in any number of sandlot like environments; once traveling around Virginia with his friends in a sort of reverse of “Bingo Long and the Traveling All Stars”, where we played black teams who were quite good and whose families brought fried chicken and beer to the games ( for 50 cents each) and it was... a whole lot of fun. So... it is kind of in my blood. I actually enjoy the spirit of competition as long as good sportsmanship is involved.

However... I bring up the Super Bowl today to point out its negative aspects as much as anything. The picture of Robert Kraft and Paul Allan's faces bespeak to m,e a legacy of soul deep corruptions and, given that, when they have their funerals in coming times, there will be many, many long black limousines, filled with the wealthy and important (among themselves) and they will, one after another, stand over the coffin, on some stage and talk about what wonderful men these two were. Oh they will go on and on. A river of weeping crocodiles will flow past the coffin. Don't stand to close to the banks (double unintendre?). Like visible is not shy about saying; {“the bigger the limousine the bigger the a******.”

Meanwhile, “American Sniper” is wiping the box office floors with all previous, cynical propaganda pieces. It's based on a true story which, means for sure that most of it is a lie. It's done by Steely Eyed Clint who has his hands on the pulse of the market . This sniper killed oh... about a thousand people of every type and then, driven by guilt, I suppose, he took to counseling people broken by their participation in the same. After a few years of that he got shot by one of them. It's a criminal lie of justification for one more horrific act of mass murder, based on a lie and financed by bankers.

Based on the incredibly popular success of this mass media hyped and expensively advertised pack of lies and justifications, they are now talking about shooting either a couple of the judges or the winning performer on the finale of this season's American Idol. Imagine what that would do to the ratings. Judging by films made that actually mirror this, one might say a lot.

So... we got The stupor Bowl and we got American Pit Viper and we got John McCain calling people scum. We got Limbaugh saying that he despises The Patriots because they elevate team over individual and come out on the field together. He says that is socialism and un American. How about that? When people can say that with a straight face and have millions of Nimrods bobbing their heads in response, you KNOW the end is near.

Still... for a few hours, I close my eyes to the glitter and bullshit. I close my eyes to the hypocrisy and bad taste and I focus only on the moments of contact. I don't even hear the rest of it. Quite possibly I am watering the ferns during these moments. Well... let me be brutally honest here. Except for these kinds of contests, I never watch TV, so I don't know what's going on there and these are only the few times when I get to see how fiendishly twisted this world really is.

I've decided I will go ahead and see American Sniper and in the process, I can speak authoritatively about the effect of it on someone with objective reasoning powers. Now... if you don't have objective reasoning you might want to skip that part once I get to it toward the end.

Okay... I watched half of it now and it is worse than I thought. They could have pulled this crap off with Gary Cooper back in his SGT. York days but then the world was a different place and Gary Cooper is a lot more man than Bradley Cooper. The weirdest thing is that while showing the propaganda side they also (inadvertently?) show what nasty sonofabitches we were. I watch closely. Sometimes a director or writer will be so skilled that he or she is more celebrated than they ever were in life. Maybe that is what Eastwood had in mind. Even by now, ten minutes later I would say, “Yes, this film deserves at least one award and that is Best Director. Regardless of what he was trying to say, he did it very, very well. I've seen a lot of films. This is one of the best directed since “Chinatown” or The Usual Suspects. You would have thought I would have said “Apocalypse Now” or “Platoon” but I used those examples because they are different forms of deception; if that makes any sense.

I see films like this and I think about what I would have filmed with that kind of money. It would have been very, very different. Remember something my friends, you have to live with yourself. Just cause it looks like life is overlooking you doesn't mean life doesn't notice. Life is actually saving your ass by keeping you from making a bigger fool of yourself than you are already. I used to say to people that sometimes obscurity is not a bad thing. It's one thing for the people around you to know that you don't have what it takes. It is quite another thing for the whole world to be made aware of it. Fame and fortune have a longevity relative to the plane they are on. Okay... now the film is boring me to death because taps just took more than half time takes at the super bowl. At least it felt that way. Now it is trite and cliché. You'll see what I mean if you ever see it.

See... now we are near the end of the post, three quarters of the way or not; who knows? And we didn't spend much time talking about the Super Bowl did we? I'll add this; I watch because I love strategy and I love watching people who are good at it. I don't agree with everyone but when someone is really good at it and it's just a game; like football is just a game then I get to see the inside of a mind like Bill Bellichick's because I am paying attention. I have no special skill besides that and it brings me to the reason I am discussing all of this in the first place. If you have one skill that lifts you to a certain place, you can access a lot of other skills. Once you can do that you are confronted with which direction you will take those skills in; right hand or left hand path? Remember, you don't always get to choose 'when' they ask... heh heh. I laugh because that one I got down. Others... heh heh again, not so much. Look people, I'm no different than most of you. Since I got here in my new location, I have been hanging out with at least half a dozen readers and all of them are of singular aspect. Today, two friends and readers (in that order), Joel and Chas came by and my landlady says to me after they leave, “Who were those two guys? They were so cool!” pretty funny, trust me.

I'm not going to get into mentioning names except where I know that people don't care. This environment does not disappoint and if even I, on a wing and a prayer, can pull it off it, must be pretty idiot proof... heh heh...

For some reason I am feeling very personal tonight when it comes to the good fortune that has been shown to me. Today I saw something called “Dives, Diners and Drive ins” It is some over the top borderline intellect who goes around to these restaurants and they show you how they make some of the worst food you can imagine. Once you see this and note the amount of toxic overdoses of basic ingredients put into these things you might not ever want to eat in a restaurant again. No wonder food tastes so much better at home than out there.

In many ways, this film has now turned into one of those video game shooter things. I could retch but I wont cause I have to live here. You know? I now realize that it doesn't matter where you are until it doesn't matter where you are and until that happens, it does matter where you are. I may have taken the long way around the mountain but at least I know my limitations and at least I got there; of that makes any sense.

I know the Stupor Bowl is just more witchcraft and bad wizards with long staffs and short dicks but if I classify everything I see in those terms I might as well shoot myself. I know the world is full of shit. I know on occasion I have also compressed what I was and sold it as free flowing but usually... not. You get to where you get to and you have only yourself to blame if it isn't enough. If it is more than you expected then you handle that however you do.

I don't know what to think about that movie at this point. I can only measure things by what I would have done. In that case... everyone in this film should be ten times deader than the people they killed.

It may be just this evening but I feel really good. Something changed somewhere.

End Transmission.......

{The film just ended and it is a steaming pile of crap and what do I see in the credits? Bradley Cooper. I think he is Barack Obama's date for the prom.}

no worries Vis, enjoy the game and try not to be severely revolted by the brainwashing machine during commercials and halftime. you can see the intrinsic sick blaring into your eyeballs. makes me want to avert my gaze, conscience and soul. this grrl is sticking to sumo, big guys should be mostly naked in full contact sportage in my humble opinion. I only use the TV for watching sport, Vis.

Often I employ the mute button so I can concentrate solely on the game.

I like NFL and catch a game or highlights when I do, but am not 'hip' enough to give an opinion on the Super Bowl.

I would imagine that 10 years between Super Bowl victories would be a record for a Quarterback (Tom Brady)

That's terrific, Les.

And the price of oil is down and I'm facing layoff...and in good old Amerika my overpriced health insurance won't pay for squat, and my tax money pays for immoral and insane wars, well, situation normal I say, in this Kali age.
But, by the grace of God, how you do make me laugh.

Let me be the first to say; How Dare You Vis. TV and competition too, I could understand if it was Green Acres or Andy Griffith, but a competitive sport. Don't you know competition is the reason the 1% owns 90% of the earths wealth. Cooperation is the only chance humanity has at surviving. Keep that one to yourself Vis or people will start thinking you are a nutter too. Ha! Well, Intellicast has promised me another 8" to 12" of global warming tomorrow so I may become a shovel operator again. Enjoy the game Vis.

After reading the quote below, I came away with some amount of guilt, like I'm not doing enough. Guess it's time for me to do some deeper introspection. More, always more. Sigh. . .

“The Jews have cast a spell over most people who stumble across the Truth. They have somehow magically ensured most people become incapable of resisting. Despite most people’s well-intended talk, they are locked up in fear-based procrastination. It really is quite incredible how people who are ‘in the know’, with huge amounts of potential, knowledge and skill sets, have allowed themselves to let the years roll by and do practically nothing to stop this tyranny. Pathetic, whimpering individuals who can only observe the drama and bicker amongst themselves. Without hesitation they will indulge in social get-togethers to have a good ol moan, have a social drink, have a laugh; but anything involving activism, anything risqué or meaningful which entails actually getting things done to stop this tyranny and making effort with personal inconvenience – forget it. Pleasure seeking, stimulants and short term comforts wins every single time. Doing nothing other than reading endless books, watching entertaining videos, reading articles, moaning amongst ourselves at social meet ups – these are all just ways of engaging in fear-based procrastination. Putting off doing tangible, constructive forms of activism……fighting back. We make our choice – we put up with personal inconvenience and make the effort now; or we fall for convenience and comforts, which will guarantee immeasurable suffering in the near future. That is our personal and collective spiritual choice.”

May I suggest you check out the Puppy Bowl as an appetizer for the Patriots,Seahawks game?

Long time no read Big L. After six hours, 330 commercials and a performance by the greatest singer of all-time (LOL!) Hulk Hogan or Roddy Piper will be crowned...err I mean the New England Deflatriots or Seattle Seachickens will win the crown.
The zebras will intrude and ruin the game as they always do to make sure the betting line is on the money.
Las Vegas will call the refs if it gets out of hand and hopefully a pastie will fall off of Katy Perry so John Mayer can swoop in and reattach it.
P.S. We made a mecca to the Western Lands in the fall and it was incredible. I have never seen anything so beautiful ever before and had a tear in my eye as we left Holy Mountain because I wanted to stay. Sadly the money was running low and checkout time was the next day at noon. I will be back as I heard Spirit whispering positive affirmations on the mountain wind and many times on the trip Spirit let me know it would be OK.

Galen, What can anyone do but talk? I notice that is all digger for truth has done. What is a good direction?

I remember during the Viet Nam War that every once in a while someone would set themselves on fire in protest. One time a man immolated himself just outside the Pentagon. Usually it was Buddhist Monks. I admire their resignation. They did something besides talk.
But as for myself I want to live.

I look at it like we are a herd of wildebeasts and the elite are lions and every once in a while they will take out some of the herd. But there are so many in the herd that for the average wildebeast it seems like our chances of avoiding the lions is pretty good. Of course in my little analogy I didn't mention how the lions also charge the wildebeast taxes and make them work.

Hi McCob. I've been reading digger for a year or two and find that he offers much beyond talk. Though I do not fully agree with his take on Hitler, I do get some encouragement from his activism. If you visit his site and browse the archives there is much under the theme of "What Can Be Done." He is very big on taking personal responsibility for the ending of supremacy/oppression; he's also big on printing and passing out informational flyers. That may seem insignificant to some but I know when someone hands me a flyer I usually take the time to consider what's written. He offers many other suggestions. We each get to decide how much beyond our big toe we'll put in the water knowing the water is sometimes treacherous. I see where I sometime self-censor and then where I sometimes don't. I guess we are works in progress and every effort matters. Here's his link:

Dear Vis,

I think I might understand what has happened to you. I interpret it so: you have finally let a little of "your" (inner) feminine mother energy trickle unto yourself, and this is akin to slacking the reins of a horse you have ridden with reins too tight for too long. Now it seems, when you speak of yourself like an idiot, you do it with warmth, and not harshly and judgmentally. There is this story of a musician who asked a saint how he should meditate, and the saint asked the musician how he would tune the strings of his instrument. The musicians answer was: "not too loose, and not too tight" and the saint said: "that is your answer". Both Yogananda and Lao Tzu point out that it is good to feel good about oneself, and that there is a balance to be found between discipline and gentleness. Of course, "loving oneself" (I apologize for using this much-abused phrase) is not necessarily the same as becoming vain, proud or self-important, which I gather you have well-tested defences against. Rather, it is allowing onself to be as one presently is, like a true mother will love a child no matter what it does. Then there is the masculine energy which coaxes us on. Balance is the key!

Witness, for example, how Lao Tzu sounds when he speaks of himself like a fool.

...

Anyways, that is my interpretation. Perhaps it stems from having tried what I describe here myself, and having experienced that it is tremendously demoralizing to be too hard on oneself, to such an extent that it can paralyze one almost completely. So, judge for yourself, as always :)

Be well, all.

@ Davy, Vis & All :“The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while he slept, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and hastened away. And so when the young blades sprang up and later were about to bring forth fruit, there appeared also the weeds. Then the servants of this householder came and said to him: `Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? Whence then come these weeds?’ And he replied to his servants, `An enemy has done this.’ The servants then asked their master, `Would you have us go out and pluck up these weeds?’ But he answered them and said: `No, lest while you are gathering them up, you uproot the wheat also. Rather let them both grow together until the time of the harvest, when I will say to the reapers, Gather up first the weeds and bind them in bundles to burn and then gather up the wheat to be stored in my barn.'” Same enemy now as then.

Galen, McCob, et al:

I have two 'takes' on "what to do?":

The first comes from the Sixties/Early-Seventies and betrays my age. I remember how it was shown that FBI informants infiltrated most 'enlightenment' groups and either 'steered' them or caused enough internal dissension to break them up. More 'active' groups were simply killed off. I remember an actual bomb being lifted by helicopter over a house in Philadelphia that was being 'sieged' by police. They actually dropped it in an urban neighborhood. Finaly, they went after the leaders - JFK, RFK, MLK,Jr, and many lesser-known leaders. This 'apparatus' is still in place, just quiescent now. Resistance 'this way' may not be futile, but it will be costly...

The second actually comes from Macchu Picchu. It made a deep impression on me. I was visiting with a group, the leader of whom was a channel. The channeled-being tried approaching a llama during a session, and it shied away from him. 'He' mentioned something about 'visiting' the llama. The next day, during a session, the llama virtually danced up to the being and hugged him. Hmmm.

So, there are ways of 'resisting' that the bad-guys both don't want us to know about and which they will not be able to 'combat' in the usual ways...

Best Wishes,
Ray B.

BCii said...

The resistance to evil begins with our commitment to not betray our inner nature, the Spirit beckoning us onward. To exercise the gifts of Spirit is to become closer with it. If we are prepared to commit to the path and let go of every hindrance we carry, then every effort we make is met with blessing.

There are as many ways to fight tyranny as there are of those who resist. Instead of beating oneself up over a lack of effort in the past, one can always look to the present and take pleasure and satisfaction in whatever one is able to do as of this moment. Every kind and compassionate act, every moment of joy and appreciation, every creative impulse brought to fruition, every flash of forgiving, insightful humor, every honest truth-seeking thought, and every inspired act of defiance of false authority is a revolutionary drop in the torrent of this unstoppable force of correction. If we do not stand up for our humanity, we will lose it -- the Borg will take care of that. So it's up to us to keep that audacious, gentle fire alive. We do what we can.

Went to your link at the realist report and posted this ->
"I don't doubt the holocaust, it will happen just as soon as the isreal mass murderers are fully justified in getting it. Just as soon as they complete the genocide of their fellowmen and neighbors in Palestine. And though the Persians may or may not deliver the blow, where it comes from or who made it none will know. So blaming Iran is such irrationality that it only increases the justification for it occurring. So nitwit yahpoo swallow your stupidity and learn to love your fellow man because in your arrogance you are his inferior."

But it didn't get past the sensors so maybe its too realist for them ?

Ray, Galen,...I think we are fucked! I know it is defeatist to think thus but from what I see I have no faith that the human race is going to do the right thing.

Violence will not work. It will only bring about, "meet the new boss same as the old boss."

The only thing I see that can bring down the power structure is for the rank and file to quit having babies, quit working and quit paying taxes. Then the elite would crumble. Can you imagine if the elite had to work the production lines and be field hands? Can you imagine if they had to do the dirty, mundane work? They need us more than we need them. The human race has shown that it can survive and prosper without high technology, power politics and civilization. We can survive without them. WE DON'T NEED NO STINKIN' BADGES!

But 'they' lead us around like a herd of livestock because of our own greed and short-sightedness. We are to blame. You can't blame a snake for being a snake. And I don't suppose you can blame a chump for being a chump if that is what he is born to do.

Be well, Ray, Galen,...

Right McCob, and so many layers to it all; yet, I keep an eye on a victory for the people. And while it's unfolding, just be sure if they come to your front door you can protect yourself. Yeah, I know it might be hard to self-protect from a nuclear bomb, but with lesser levels of destruction there are some measures to be taken.

A while back another thing came to me about self-defense.... It can, in itself, be an act of NON-violence. I looked up the word "violence." Look....

violence - noun,

1) behavior involving physical force intended to hurt, damage, or kill someone or something

2) strength of emotion or an unpleasant or destructive natural force

But my definitions of self-defence transform that violence into this....

1) behavior involving physical force intended to protect, secure, save the life of, someone or something

2) strength of emotion, or an unpleasant yet constructive natural force

.....making fighting-back into a most natural act, designed for protection. In fact, when innocence is threatened, to not respond is an act of violence. Violence by omission. And to stand in non-interference is to perpetuate the violence.

I know it's very complicated; I'm trying to break it down because there's so much programming to undo, and if it's not undone, many more innocents will be harmed, killed, or locked away. We (humanity) are fast losing our survival instincts. I'd rate my own capability at about 26%. I've much work to do. Hope I don't let my grand-kids down.

Hi McCob. I think many are in the same situation as you. We are peaceful people and weapons are usually not uppermost in our minds. I just paint myself into a scenario where if I must defend myself or some innocent one I will do what I can. Your kitchen cutlery and toolboxes are very good things. Now some might say that if I focus here I'll attract it (the need to protect); I'll somehow pull it in. May be some truth there but still, we have what we have: an out-of-control police-state/war-machine and anyone who can escape its damage has my respect. A life is a terrible thing to waste. And believe me, this is all new for me; I'm the one who'd put the daisy in the barrel of the soldiers gun.

Mao and Stalin and Pol Pot ain't fully here yet, but I see their boot in the door, and all their soldiers are armed. But maybe I could offer them some homemade soup. Soup has been known to keep the worst at bay. No joke.

It's a real good thing that we get to keep learning and with a right to change our minds. Who will I be by the close of the week?
